⚠ Bias & provenance. The material gathered so far comes largely from r/RecklessBen, a defense-aligned (pro-Schneider / pro-Mansell) community, and most of the hosts below are community mirrors (Google Drive, Proton Drive, Pastebin, Imgur), not official court/agency systems. Treat every item as a lead, not authority: confirm court filings against the clerk's record (Utah XChange / Oregon eCourt, see ../lawsuit/court-documents.md) and verify each statement against the original platform before relying on it. Mirrors can be edited or vanish. As sources from other vantage points are added, note their lean too.

Snapshots the community offers as evidence BAM described itself as an authorized LEGO reseller. Captures of BAM's own pages, so primary — but verify each capture.

4. "Legally Mine" — the owners' prior law-practice business

Public records the community cites for the McNeffs' earlier venture (relevant to the lawfare framing). These are legitimate primary/secondary public records, not community mirrors.

⚠ Three different McNeffs — do not conflate. Ammon & Matthew McNeff are BAM's CEO / COO and held President / VP-Marketing roles at Legally Mine, LLC (2011–2020, per the BAM FDD). Daniel McNeff is Legally Mine's sole member/manager and the UPL respondent in the Ohio order below — and the defendant the two brothers sued in the 2021 family suit.

Primary uploads/appearances that the 2026-06-03 sweep left in the linked index but that belong in the catalog. ✅ = independently confirmed live on the source channel on 2026-06-04; ⚠ = community-sourced lead, link not yet independently opened (verify before any promotion). Several of Ben's own uploads are now also in primary-sources.md.

Legal-analysis cluster (secondary, but higher quality than influencer reactions). The megathread now indexes attorney/legal-commentary channels worth a single pointer rather than re-enumeration: Lawful Masses w/ Leonard French (14ktgvoH4Mc, imD2U3kCZTA, c7cOeDEIWVo), Legal Mindset ("A Lawyer Explains the Reckless Ben Lawsuit," 5H714qko9aY — ✅ ~280K views, posted ~2026-06-03), and LUS (multi-part). These are commentary, not record; weight the filings (§1) over any of them.

Channel-growth note (verifiable, neutral). As of 2026-06-04 Ben's channel @RecklessBen shows ~1.09M subscribers / 170 videos; the community flagged the 1M milestone (r/RecklessBen "He hit 1M subs"). The official AFPD channel @AmericanForkPoliceDepartment currently lists one public video (the May 29 media release, IcVmSQpIPRY); whether earlier uploads were removed or never existed is not established — do not assert a "scrub."

Excluded by archive policy

• Unredacted AFPD body-cam footage (archive.org dumps circulating in comments and on the front page, e.g. archive.org/details/r-20260508070750). The Compilation megathread deliberately excludes it: "we don't have any word on whether it was released intentionally or leaked. It also contains personally identifiable information which counts as doxxing." This archive should likewise cite only the officially released AFPD footage (§2), not the unredacted leak.
• The 2026-06-03/04 "mostly unredacted" body-/dash-cam tranche. Around 2026-06-03 a much larger set of AFPD body-cam and dash-cam files (community counts of ~33–56 videos / ~27 hours) became public; per the r/RecklessBen "Resource" post, AFPD posted a new Dropbox folder of unredacted files that was taken down shortly after, and community members re-uploaded the copies to Internet Archive and other mirrors (e.g. ben.kahn.studio). r/RecklessBen's "new" feed filled with clips from it on 2026-06-04, and Ben's 2026-06-04 video "All the footage is released!" references the same release. Provenance is contested — briefly/inadvertently released vs. leaked, and a separate community claim that Ben said the department was "hacked" is itself disputed by other redditors. A reupload such as "FULL BODYCAM…" (5zPRvOrmyiE, channel TechHeart, billed "NEWLY LEAKED") falls in the same bucket. Excluded for the same reason as above: unredacted, PII-bearing, and provenance unconfirmed. The mirror links are deliberately not enumerated here; cite only the May 29 officially-released, redacted AFPD footage (§2). The event may be noted neutrally in the narrative, but the claims inside the clips (e.g. officer/Airbnb-owner coordination, "fake process server") are unverified ALLEGATIONS until checked against the official record.

Advocacy / action links (NOT sources — out of scope)

The megathread also lists pressure/complaint mechanisms. They are calls to action, not citable sources, and a neutral archive (../DISCLAIMER.md) should not adopt them. Noted here only so the distinction is explicit: DOJ Civil Rights report, IRS referral (Form 3949-A), Utah AG contact, American Fork "Report a Concern" + city-council calendar, the LEGO contact page, and a Change.org petition.

2026-06-04 update — Reddit + YouTube follow-up pass

A targeted pass over r/RecklessBen (new/top-of-day) and YouTube (Ben's channel + date-sorted search), checking for anything published or surfaced after the 2026-06-03 sweep. Retrieved 2026-06-04.

State of the maintained indexes. The Compilation of all resources megathread's edit log still ends at 06-03 — no new official documents added since the sweep, so §§1–5 above remain current. The Video Coverage megathread is richer than the 06-03 sweep pulled in; the genuinely-new primary items from it are now folded into §6 ("Added 2026-06-04").

Genuinely new since 06-03:

Deliberately not cataloged (consistent with the archive's scope): the day's large volume of r/RecklessBen memes, opinion/speculation threads, and editorialized body-cam clips; an ilocalize.com "Mormon Psychology" link that looks like an SEO/scraper content-farm; and the giglio-bradylist.com "AFPD added to the Brady list" post — a third-party aggregator, not an official prosecutorial list, which redditors note appears partly populated by this very controversy (circular; fails the CONFIRMED bar). Recorded here only so the exclusions are auditable.

Verification status. This was a single-agent research pass. Items marked ✅ were confirmed live on the source channel; ⚠ items are community-sourced leads. Per the repo's two-agent rule, a second agent should independently confirm each cited source before any of these is promoted into timeline.md / parties.md or relabeled CONFIRMED.

2026-06-10 update — news watcher pass (re-verified)

An automated news-watcher pass surfaced developments after the archive's Jun 9 cutoff (that pass could not reach Reddit and ran on WebSearch + outlet coverage only); its findings were then independently re-verified and amended before being merged here. Outcome per item:

Deliberately not promoted: the Jun 9–10 cluster of Part-3 reaction / "final message" recaps (Brick Fanatics, Geeks+Gamers, Sportskeeda, Soap Central, Dexerto — cataloged in news-articles.md, but they restate the already-recorded Jun 9 "bad news" video rather than adding facts); refund-mechanics speculation (no outlet confirms it); and the unredacted body-cam tranche (still excluded on PII grounds).

2026-06-11 update — news watcher pass

A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 10 cutoff. Reddit was unreachable this run (r/RecklessBen blocked to non-browser clients; old.reddit.com/*.json not in the egress allowlist and WebFetch returned 403 across all hosts), so this pass ran on WebSearch + outlet snippets + primary-record listings only. Outcome:

Also checked, nothing new to add: the Jun 9 "bad news"/Part-3 gag, the Jun 9–10 GoFundMe outage→restoration, the Jun 4 store closure/"parting ways," the Patreon standoff, and the Jun 22 PI / Jul 1 criminal hearing dates are all already recorded. The Marion County DA "≈30 pages / charges under active consideration" detail traces to the Salem Business Journal (Mar 30, 2026) — pre-existing reporting, not a new development; the archive already notes the DA review.

Verification. Two-agent rule applied: an independent verifier re-checked the Jun 9 council-meeting claims via WebSearch and confirmed the meeting date (against the city's own video title), the "no investigation announced" outcome (both outlets), and flagged the council-member detail as single-substantive-source (downgraded to Reported; "defended police" softened to "expressed appreciation"). ⚠ WebFetch egress was blocked this run, so full-text re-opening of sources was not possible — corroboration rests on multiple WebSearch snippets plus the primary municipal video record.

2026-06-11 update — news watcher pass (second sweep, re-verified)

A second sweep the same day (originating as automated bot PR #46, then independently re-verified with every promoted source re-opened — the bot's own run had no full-text access). The re-verification moved most of the bot's event dates earlier (the "post-Jun-10 developments" mostly broke Jun 4–8) and corrected several source attributions. Outcome:

Verification. Two-agent rule applied — and because the originating bot PR (#46) was produced without source access (WebSearch snippets only), this pass treated its claims as unverified authorship and re-opened everything: FOX40 (full text via browser — bot-walled), CBS Sacramento, Sacramento Bee (via its NewsBreak syndication), the public Minifigs.me Facebook post, factually.co (via browser), Kotaku, the YouTube video metadata for Coffeezilla's investigation, KOIN, and KEZI/KOMO. Corrections vs. the bot draft, all applied: (a) event dates moved from "~Jun 10–12" to Jun 4–8 (FOX40 Jun 4; CBS/KCRA Jun 5; Bee Jun 6; the Minifigs.me post is Jun 4); (b) the bot's "Sacramento Bee (via AOL)" citation was actually an AOL syndication of the FOX40 story — replaced with the real Bee article, and KCRA/KSBW/Columbus Dispatch added as the true sources of the "death threats" / San Luis Obispo / nationwide-spread details; (c) "filed multiple Sacramento PD reports" was demoted from fact to the GM's account and ⚠-flagged against the Bee's contradicting PD statement; (d) the claimed UNILAD corroboration of the Minifigs.me exit does not exist in the cited UNILAD timeline — replaced with Kotaku (Jun 10); (e) the owners' surname ("Savage") could not be verified in any opened source and was dropped; (f) the Coffeezilla row was re-dated to the verified Jun 10 upload; (g) an editor-facing instruction the bot had copied into two content rows was removed. The Minifigs.me announcement was upgraded to CONFIRMED-as-statement (primary re-opened directly), and the Sacramento item's CONFIRMED core was narrowed to the closure announcement + harassment reports. Agent B (independent verifier, all sources re-opened from bare URLs incl. the full 54-min video transcript) then caught three errors in the re-write itself, all fixed: the "'alleged' in KCRA's headline" hedge was false (verified against the live H1/og:title/JSON-LD and a Jun 5 Wayback capture — KCRA asserts "harassment and death threats" unhedged; "alleged" modifies the consignment dispute; the GM's verbatim quote is "Some of the calls and emails have been death threats"); the San Luis Obispo calls were not "harassing" (KSBW describes non-threatening calls ended "peacefully" — and KSBW is a Hearst sister of KCRA, so it doesn't independently corroborate Sacramento facts); and "filed multiple police reports" is FOX40's paraphrase, not an Anderson quote (de-quoted). B also re-dated the range to Jun 4–9 (the Dispatch piece is Jun 9), flagged the bot's unverified "BAM's $95K–$100K" valuation (replaced with the Dispatch-reported ~$80K BAM claim), and surfaced Schneider's on-camera admission that the $200K figure was promotional ("a nice even number that will grab attention").

2026-06-12 update — news watcher pass (re-verified)

A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 11 cutoff, re-verified against the primary video and re-opened sources (this replaces automated bot PR #49, whose run had only WebSearch snippets — no full-text or video access). Two new facts, both surfacing in Jun 11 coverage of Coffeezilla's Jun 10 investigation video (already cataloged), were folded into the existing Jun 10 Coffeezilla row rather than booked as a separate event:

Verification. Two-agent rule applied. Agent A re-opened UNILAD Tech ×2, Dexerto, and Nerdbeak, found the KSL "over $300,000" figure (the May 27 BAM suit) to confirm the conflict is real, and pulled the full 54-minute video transcript (yt-dlp captions) to anchor the quotes to the primary source — the $1.3M line ("being sued for 1.3 million as part of a legal campaign against him and Reckless Ben and any of the associates"), the "I told the CEO and COO that's ridiculous and they should drop this" quote, and the Nov 14 U-Haul dispute ("a U-Haul in the parking lot right outside of the store the night of November 14th, 2024 … something that Matt said he had seen footage of and it couldn't be true") all verify verbatim. Corrections vs. the bot draft, all applied: (a) the ~$1.3M is the existing suit's figure (Nerdbeak + the transcript's "part of a legal campaign"), not a new suit; (b) the bot's silent rewrite of lawsuit/README from "not confirmable from secondary sources" to "not confirmable from the filed complaint" (implying someone read the docket) was reverted — we have not seen the complaint; (c) the U-Haul/CCTV framing was corrected: McNeff cited footage to claim no U-Haul, and it was Coffeezilla who brightened footage to reveal one (undercutting McNeff), not BAM footage cleanly proving "not stolen"; (d) the bot put "ALLEGATION" in the timeline status cell, which (per classifyStatus) would have flipped the whole row's status pill from "Reported" to "Allegation" — moved to the event prose. Nerdbeak was added as a corroborating outlet.
